Is it OK to live with your boyfriend before marriage? It’s a tempting argument. It all depends on what is the extent of your relationship. By living together, you will know more about your love compatibility. But it can also lead to unexpected consequences like pregnancy. To deal with this dilemma, we should make clear about the following things.

Living together prior to marriage is not a test of marital compatibility.

Your purpose to live with your boyfriend is to see whether you still love him after you cook together, eat together, and sleep together every day. Or you just want to taste marriage life without a commitment. However, marriage only works when you make a commitment to each other. A marriage commitment is an agreement to take care of each other for life through thick and thin, regardless of life’s ups and downs, while the commitment of living together is simply a verbal agreement.

Living together prior to marriage doesn’t raise the possibility of being divorced.

A new study dispels the myth that living together before marriage is risky because of complicated disputes caused by cohabitation. The previous study states that couples living together before marriage are more likely to break up than those who don’t. But the fact is that living together gives couples a much more clearer vision of the future, and this can help them become more compromised with each other.

When You Shouldn’t Live Together

After a long term relationship with your boyfriend, you may be heading for marriage. It is OK to live with your boyfriend, since you have made a basic commitment and have vowed to live together in the rest of your life. However, if your boyfriend has no expectations of your relationship, and he is not going to make a commitment to you, be careful of your thoughts of living together with him. Only the man who is responsible for your relationship deserves to live with you.

Jealousy is a matter of fear, suspicion or envy. It is an emotion typically experienced by a lover who thinks his/her partner is showing affection to a third party. It is a green-eyed monster commonly creeping into his or her thoughts at one time or another. Insecurity, detachment and immaturity can be triggered by the emotion of jealousy.

What is Jealousy in a Relationship?
Jealousy is a state of fear about the unknown and of change. Most people who feel jealous are suspicious of losing power in a relationship and suspicious of losing desirability.

Insecurity Creates Jealousy
Jealousy springs from personal insecurities due to a lack of communication between lovers. If you feel insecure or have low self-esteem, you may begin to doubt how your partner thinks about you. What’s worse is that you start questioning your partner’s actions or become too needy of your partner’s time and attention. Once you become jealous, you must be alert that there will be a red flag in your relationship.

Jealousy Destroys a Relationship
It is obvious that jealousy is likely to be destructive to a relationship. A person who falls into the pitfall of irrational jealousy may feel fearful, suspicious, angry and short-tempered. All these feelings result in poor decision making, impulsive behaviors, and ultimately, a generally miserable relationship.

How to Prevent Jealousy?
Since jealousy is quite a dangerous sword, are you ready to prevent jealousy?
Tip One: Communicate with Your Partner
Tell your partner openly how you feel about your relationship. You may feel very anxious and insecure about it, because he or she is so important to you. You may get affirmative love from your partner if he/she tells you that he/she loves you as much as you love him/her. Offer reassurance about your relationship to your partner at the same time.
Tip Two: Build Strong Confidence
Stop wasting your time in fancy! If you love your partner and your partner loves you, be confident and cherish your relationship. Admit that you are the one who is worth being loved by your partner and focus more on building and strengthening your relationship.
Tip Three: Become a Unique and Irreplaceable Lover
Make your lover a huge fan of your charismatic personality. Multiple roles are required here. You can be your lover’s intimate friend, bossy manager, sweet follower and even hateful evildoer. You can conquer your partner’s heart with your outstanding personality!
