Romance and Relationships
The two concepts are so interlinked that one cannot be understood without the other. Romance finds a place only in a relationship and again a relationship finds no meaning with out any romance in it. Romance is the under current for any relationship be it conjugal or even before entering into one. But, al relationships are not related to romance. Only those relationships between man and woman that presuppose a physical love and bond can talk of romance. Romance is that feeling between life partners who share a sexual intimacy and would wish to enjoy the conjugal affinity.
Does this mean that over the passing of time one loses the romance in the relationship as the sexual urge deceases due to family, health and other innumerable problems? It is not true because we see many of the elderly couples still enjoying their marital life with the same intensity with which they had initially come together. So romance is not only the physical attachment but also the enjoying the presence of each other and finding love and warmth in the company of one another. Being the constant support and reiterating the fact that one still loves the other even in sickness and many times of dire need, proves the fact that romance can always last in a relationship as long as there is mutual trust and understanding and the craving for each other's companionship.
Irrespective of the physical attraction and love when the urge to care and belong to one another persists in any relationship the romance can be found in the small things like holding hands, remembering one another's birthdays, the spontaneous smile and the lighting of the face on seeing the other, the little gestures of help to say 'I care for you', all these are the essentials of true romance. Let us give a few hints to keep the flame of romance burning in your lives.
- Never nag about the past. Past is something over and gone think of the present, the present becomes past within no time and cannot be brought back. So enjoy the present with most loved one.
- Every body does not react to life's posers in the same way. Tomorrow is another day, hope only for the happy moments but if the problems are to tough to deal with then romance and love may take a back seat. So cling to the present and live in this moment.
- Never forget to compliment your beloved for the small gestures of love, help and 'I care for you'.
- Remember to compliment his or her looks, dress, smile and such other personal things.
- Try to hold hands, sit near each other, or share a joke or a cup of coffee. Remember proximity always develops longing for each other when we are away and separate for even a few hours or days. Such is the meaning of romance, which makes you pine for the company of the other every moment of the day.
- This longing will not make you lose out on your day-to-day work schedules but will only enhance the zeal to work better and competently
